Set reminders

Mobile only

Reminders are available in the Android and iOS apps. The website can't send notifications, but the apps have you covered.

Remind me

Every entry on the results page has a Remind me button. Tap it, and the app schedules a notification so you don't have to keep watching the clock.

Depending on how far away the sighting is, you'll be notified:

  • 30 minutes before the sighting,
  • or 10 minutes before if there's less than half an hour left,
  • or right at pass time if the sighting is imminent.

The app confirms with a message like "Okay, you will be reminded 30 mins before this timing".

Notification permission

On Android 13 and newer, the app asks for permission to send notifications the first time you tap Remind me. If you don't allow it, the reminder can't be shown - you can enable notifications later in the system Settings, under Apps → Find Starlink → Notifications.

The app asks for permission to send notifications the first time you tap Remind me. If permission was denied, you'll see "Sorry, did not get the permission to display notifications!" - you can enable notifications later in the system Settings, under Find Starlink → Notifications.

Cancelling a reminder

Changed your plans (or the clouds rolled in)? The Remind me button on that entry turns into a Cancel button once a reminder is set. Tap it and the reminder is removed - you'll see "Okay, the alarm has been canceled".
